The Jonathan Pace Foundation was established in memory of Jonathan Pace who lost his
battle with Leukemia on August 14, 2007. The organization was founded to ensure
that Jon’s dreams of defeating cancer and giving those who learn differently the
chance to pursue their own dreams could be fulfilled through others.
Jonathan was a graduate of the June Shelton School in Dallas, Texas where he was
known as a compassionate leader amongst his peers and an active participant in the
theater arts program as an actor, writer and director. First diagnosed in 2002,
Jonathan fought a brave battle against leukemia throughout his High School career
while he continued his pursuit for the arts.
Upon graduation, Jon was intending to continue his studies under scholarship at
the Savannah College of Art and Design before his cancer relapsed preventing him
from having the opportunity to pursue this dream. Despite his cancer, Jon continued
to act and even secured a role in an independent film shot in Dallas while in the
middle of his intense chemotherapy regimen.
Following his death, the Jonathan Pace Scholarship Fund was established at the June
Shelton School in order to support students at the school who exhibit the same level
of leadership that Jon did and who are interested in pursuing a career in the theater
arts.
As we move forward, the goals of "Jonathan’s Stage" have been expanded to include
the fight to cure leukemia as well as continued support for the education and support
of learning different children.
